About Our Presenters

LucyBlack_PhotoRebecca and Lauren both share roots as musicians and performers. Rebecca began piano, violin, and viola from an early age. She received her Bachelor’s degrees in Music Education and Viola Performance from the University of Memphis and Master’s of Music in Viola Performance from The University of Maryland. Lauren also began piano and viola early, receiving her Bachelor’s degrees in Viola Performance and Recording Technology from the University of Memphis, then her Master’s degrees in Viola Performance and Classical Studio Production from the University of Surrey (UK).

They bridged the gap from being artists to entertainment coordinators while working for Andy Kushner Entertainment Design. Beginning as music directors and performers, this role developed into a full-time position, eventually transpiring into the duo overseeing the entire organization. They coordinated everything from strings, bands, and entertainers - to designing shows, traveling far and wide - thus sparking a deeper passion for the events world. Having relationships across the country with some of the best artists, DJs, musicians, dancers, and performers, the writing was on the wall – it was time to create something different and strike out on their own, so they co-founded Lucy Black Entertainment!

Washington D.C.’s All-American Live Music Destination 

At Pearl Street Warehouse, rock, country, folk, soul, bluegrass, rhythm and blues acts from around the country take the stage nightly, offering every seat in the house a front-row music experience.

Pearl Street Warehouse offers diner-style American fare, along with a menu of classic cocktails before, during, and after performances. The diner is open from breakfast through post-performance, 8:30 am until close.
